Lucky for you Jenny, actually that type of Bee needs to be real mad to sting, they don't mind a helping hand like a shove out of a window.

I don't know about whether he was mad or not, but he wasn't too happy - he kept bopping his tail into the window [looked rather rude actually] LOL. I did give him a helping hand out of the window with the usual glass and postcard trick,

True, they make a fuss when they feel trapped but if you did not know it here is a fact. Humble Bees are seldom aggressive even though they have a needle stinger just like Wasps so can sting many times whereas if a Brown (Honey Bee) sting is barbed it leaves half its inside behind after stinging and dies soon after. Brown Bees are very aggressive.
