Stony serpents.

Stony serpents.
Worked hard in the garden this morning and spent the afternoon drinking coffee, eating cake and chatting with Alison and Bob. It was sunny and yesterday's wind had dropped. Went out in the car afterwards and wandered around. We have some lovely rock formations in Fife. Came back late and a bit dazed from constantly driving into the sun. Very hungry so tucked into lamb tagine from Cooks which is delicious. Made me sleepy though and I'm feeling very tired so forgive me for not commenting. I'll catch up tomorrow.

Berny, Malik Raoulda, tiabunna, Annemarie and 12 other people have particularly liked this photo

I love these ribbons of rocks that are prevalent along the coast of the East Neuk. They are excellent in Crail and Pittenweem too.

Fascinating rock formations..............and I can see where you got the title from!

They look as if they're volcanic in origin?

Very well spotted Jean, the ridges certainly do mimic the backbone of a serpent.

Great light and the angled rock strata do remind me of crocodiles!
