Isle of Skye,
Folder: Scotland
One of Scotland's finest islands
Fresh Water
The River Chracaig tumbles into Loch Portree at Scorrybreac on the Isle of Skye across the loch is Camas Ban and the Chracaig waterfall is behind me.
A little music while you view, www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSq4B_zHqPM
I think a large view for detail may be rewarding.
HFF and stay safe it's not over yet!
Raasay,
The River Varragill snakes it's way to the the sea in the Sound of Rassay with the island of the same name in the background, A calmac ferry makes a number of daily crossings between the island and the Isle of Skye from where this was captured.
To the extreme right of the image is extinct flat topped volcano of Dun Caan (444m) which is the highest point on Raasay,
HFF and a good safe week to everyone
Break Through
A brief gap in the evening cloud cover allowed the sun a chance to shine across The Minch.
A large view may reveal the Outer Hebrides behind the sun rays.
Wish you all a good week
Storm Light!
Another image from the archives and another from Elgol on the Isle of Skye,
The Black Cuillin Range as a backdrop to Loch Scavaig and Allt Port na Cullaidh is the watercourse flowing across the beach,
The photographer on the outcrop on the right gives a size perspective..
I think it's better large..
A Rainbow for Peace.
The old man of Storr, and Loch Leathan either side of the A855 road on the Isle of Skye.
In 16.9 format so large may be better..
HFF and a good weekend
Going Down.
Long shadows from a fiery sunset and reflections in the harbour at Kyleakin, Isle of Skye.
This was the island terminal for ferries from the mainland until the opening of the Skye bridge in 1996, many drivers will remember the long queues waiting for a ship to arrive.
I think it looks better large. HFF.
Down Stream,
A stormy Isle of Skye day and the River Sligachan looking down stream,
Please view large.
New Bench, Old Croft.
Croft houses at the Skye Museum of island life on the Trotternish peninsula in northern Skye,
A fascination look back to the hardships' crofting people endured,
A link if anyone is interested, www.skyemuseum.co.uk
