Wonderment
Dropping in on a professional photo Shoot, Staffin Boat Slip Road, Isle of Skye.
Another from the archives I'm afraid
From the recent archives 3 +pip
It's late September 2017 and the sun has started to emerge from the cloud bank over the Black Cuillin range, This is a view across Loch Scavaig with the peaks of Sgurr Nan a Eag 924m and Sgurr Alasdair 992m, Taken from Elgol on the Isle of Skye's Straithaird peninsula, the foreground watercourse flowing into the loch is Allt Port na Cullaidh and the children on the foreshore are outside the village school the walls of which can just be seen far right of the image. Another pair in the casual series of recent archive images. A large view is recommended.
Weather Station,
Looking across a choppy Loch Scavaig and past the fence to the cloud topped Black Cuillin range from Elgol, Isle of Skye,
They appear to have picked a good location for this one ;-))
Wish everyone HFF and a nice weekend but take care!
A Croft House, Isle of Skye.
With no money to import materials the crofters of the island used whatever materials were available to build a home, stones that were nearby, driftwood for roof timbers often provided by the many shipwrecks and rushes for the roof covering, walls were around three feet thick and windows kept to a minimum with a peat fire for light and heat.
The distant island to right of the image is Fladda-Chuin, A submarine grounded on the island in 2002 and caused damage to the hull that cost an estimated £5 million pounds to repair.
Stay safe but have a HFF
A large view if you are able please
Cool Sheep
High up on a ridge in the coastal wind & rain at Trotternish on the Isle of Skye this cool dude takes a break-. This is a Scottish Blackface sheep and both sexes have horns.
