Many thanks, Herb, wonderful memories from these amazing islands, we would have returned again this year if ferries had been reliable.

Its all very dicey with those ferries I know. We had a nightmare getting to Kintyre via Arran last year. Been reading a few crime/mystery novels set in Lewis over the last few months (Peter May) and I long to go there now. We did in fact get to Stornoway many years back but saw next to nothing as the local bus drove away five minutes before the ferry came in grrrr. So just waited for the next ferry back to the mainland in the pouring rain. I heard yesterday that the two Orkney ferries are down to one at the moment because of a fire.

That was a shame Herb, it has totally changed our spring break. Islay is down to one ferry and is fully booked, Mull is booked for weeks ahead, and the Corran ferry is closed for weeks because of ship failure so Ardumurchan is also off of the list,
