Portnahaven Isle of Islay, this is the southernmost island of the Inner Hebrides and is a ferry trip of around 2 hours 15 minutes from the mainland at Kintyre.

Islay is one of five whisky distilling localities and regions in Scotland whose identities are protected by law, and is home to around 10 distilleries. Whisky is also linked with the Isle of Jura, which is a short distance across the fast flowing Sound of Jura

Many thanks Doug, this is a remarkable island with peat areas reserved for particular distilleries, gorgeous beaches and beautiful settings like the one above.
