They can be a hazard to radiocomms antennas and cables. They and some other varieties love to pull on the soft plastic outer of the feeder co-ax cable and the plastic cover on waveguide feeds to dish antennas. At many of the sites on the Train Radio project which feature in my photos here we added a hard plastic or stainless steel conduit over the cables between the exit from in the mast to the antenna to prevent this damage.
