Many welcomes to Queensland! The border fence and grid are supposed to stop cattle straying into NSW and rabbits roaming into Queensland. January 2010.
HFF for 29/09/23. See PiP added on 01/10/23.

A lovely scene, Graham. It's a long time since I travelled that road! HFF and have a good weekend.

Thanks George. It's while now since I've been there too. A beautiful area with rainforest on the NSW side (behind the photographer) and the creek in the open country ahead. I worked a bit in this area in the mid 70s in telecoms and in the mid 90s in train radio. I've been to the area a few times since we've been in Toowoomba for railfan interest and picnics along Running Stream. See the PiP just added.

Thanks Xata. Belated HFF. Slow is needed, the road gets much steeper and the curves sharper beyond what you see in this photo.

The rabbits probably hitch a ride in a Roo's pouch ... and the cattle will just wander until there's a gap!!

Love the prolific roads signs too, could be confusing if they find a way to cross the border ;-)))

Thanks Maagsmep. The rabbits are an introduced animal which degrade grazing and farming land in Australia. The state of Queensland has few and works hard to keep it that way. See the PiP just added.

Thanks Gillian. An area I enjoy visiting. Behind in NSW there is rainforest and ahead the road winds along and crosses several times a creek named Running Stream.
