Post Office Eumundi
The building dates back to around 1915 and it used to be the old telephone exchange.

Eumundi Market town in Queensland, Australia.

Gourmet eateries, renowned art galleries, craft shops and historical pubs sit side-by-side along the wide main street.

Many of the buildings in this unique town were constructed between 1890 and 1930 and are fine examples of the era - including the "Discover Eumundi" building, the original bank building, the old bakery and the School of Arts Hall.

In the 70s I worked at many small post office & manual telephone exchanges doing line and cable testing in preparation for the provision of automatic exchanges. Then in 2016 & 17 I visited many post offices (not any of the ones previously) helping out a relative who has a business servicing IT hardware. It was a bit of a memory lane trip.

My husband started out in telecomms, in Scotland, then moved into IT. Must have been interesting to see a variety of the post offices in Aus. Eumundi Post Office is great, hope they don't change it. Cooroy and Pomona are cute too.
