The rebuilt "Kurländer Palais" now houses Kastenmeiers restaurant. It stands on the site where both the Rampische Straße and the Salzgasse - both coming from the Neumarkt - merge together into the Schießgasse.

How amazing to think that this used to be a PALACE!! WOW!!! It must be a very fancy restaurant indeed! They did a beautiful job painting it, what a lovely building. Your photography is excellent. Great light and composition! :)

Thank you Janet! The palace had been built in this shape already in 1728/29, but it had been destroyed twice: first time in 1760 during the Seven Year's War by Prussian bombs and second time in 1945 (World War II) by bombs too. The building stood for 60 years as a ruin. It was rebuilt largely original starting 2006 and in 2008, it was reopened as a multi-purpose building. It houses a large ballroom, a star restaurant and various rooms that can be rented for events.

Vielen Dank Annamaria!
I didn't use a HDR software here. I just played a little with light and shadow value and contrast.
