Thanks, Joe. I'm interested in the feeling it gives people, so thanks for that information, too. All the best.

I just remembered the figure on the left is statue by William McElcheran, whom I mentioned in a comment under one of your photos of Freddy Revolution. Ir's now been removed, unfortunately -- a McDonald's opened next door and the stature was seriously vandalized a couple of times -- but this is what it looked like in daylight:

I wonder if anyone has ever seen Mr. Revolution and this statue in the same room at the same time.

His other 12 statues in Toronto survive intact.

Face lighting from below always carries a slightly sinister feeling.

It struck me as sinister, too, George. The light from below actually confused me. I took this 11 years ago, but couldn't place the figure on the left. Then I realized it was a statue by William McElcheran that looked very un-sinister during the day/

It does look menacing in this light. Bit of a shame the statue had to me taken away in favour of (another) McDonalds. Very eye catching.

The owners of the building it stood in front of have restored it and are, it seems, considering how best to put it on display again. I suppose they could always put it inside the building, but since it shows a businessman walking the sidewalk seems the best place for it.

Are you Freddy Revolution, Denis? Here's a photo Joe took of him:
