Atascadero / Lincoln environmentalist (# 0537)

At the top of Atascadero City Hall, a quote from Abraham Lincoln about relationships to nature, a quote that seems fairly contradictory to the perspective of the current president, who claims to be a later embodiment of Lincoln’s history:

"The most valuable of all arts will be that of deriving a comfortable subsistence from the smallest area of soil."

Double-checking this quote, I found it to be used by Nebraska Food Cooperative. Looking at their website, I found a long statement on climate change that shows a history of climate change thinking within the Republican party that is, again, contradictory to the current American administration: www.nebraskafood.org/city-dwellers
