Amsterdam housing (#1244)
I suspect I have multiple pictures of these two places -- I find both buildings visually interesting.
The building on the left side of the picture is the MVRDV Silodam apartments, a mixed use building with a clear variety of styles, uses, and rental/ownership. The website on it (below) provides an interesting look at the process of housing development where there is a strong governmental focus on diversity and equal access.

The fantastic building on the right side of the picture is the Ponsteiger. The link below has some wonderful views of the building -- it's in Dutch, but if you use Chrome, it translates well. The page makes no pretense of describing the housing as affordable, it is all individually owned and apparently has spectacular views, particularly in the cross section. I was only able to find one listing, for an 126m2 (1356 sq ft) unit for € 1.085.000 ($1,230,000). (Considering the location, that seems 'low')
