SR13 St Johns Rivertown park development (google)

SR13 St Johns Rivertown park development (google)
A satellite view (thank you, Google) of Rivertown Development, a relatively large segment that (based on their website) appears to stretch along the river parallel to SR 13 for about 2 miles and in about 2 miles. I should note that this is all part of the growing Jacksonville metropolitan area that is filling in all of the empty spaces (except on the river) from the Georgia border to down below St. Augustine – note the development on the right side of the picture, which is not part of Rivertown.

Addendum: In response to a question about the development, I looked for information on the history of it (see link below). It turns out this is already the 3rd iteration of plans to develop this area, that the development area is over 4,000 acres and current plans are to develop 4,500 homes. When the article was written in March of 2017, there were only 125 homes sold, so that will be a massive expansion. Gone entirely will be the sense of isolation and remoteness. For someone raised in the area, I can see how such development in what was a remote area increases the sense of a lost culture.
