Welaka development (#0435)

Welaka was on my way to the next point in my plans, Ft. Gates. I’d never been to Welaka before and assumed it to be an out-of-the way small fishing village – not part of the ever-growing accumulation of retirement and second homes that are ending open space. This is on a lower stretch of the St. Johns River.
