The library is on the edge of the Christmas Market. It was a surprise to me (again because Americans are prudes) to see the amount of public space that was open for alcohol consumption during the Christmas market.

This made me think of how shocked I was that in Japan, land of a bajillion sidewalk vending machines, you can buy a beer, sit down on a bench and drink it! Frisky!
