I tried to talk Robin into taking this hike when we were there in 2007, but the heat was beyond her tolerance level. This is a really nice shot of this arch.

Moab's quite pleasant in mid-winter. There's enough restaurants open to make it enjoyable and the few tourists who are there are hardy, friendly, winter travelers. A trip down to Hovenweep (I'll post those later) would work out nicely. You could even Amtrak to Grand Junction and rent a car for the whole thing...
