Indio Old Town (0697)

Indio Old Town (0697)
I could not find specific information on the structure behind the UP diesel, but per Wikipedia and other sources, Indio was a key location for Southern Pacific railroad in the early 1900's. Halfway between Yuma and Los Angeles, it operated as a service location for steam locomotives. Per the site linked below, there was a six stall roundhouse, which may be this building though I doubt it since roundhouses are often curved on the front and also there's no evidnce from a sattelite view to suggest this was a roundhouse. www.indiocaroute99.com/content/view/13/28
