Friday 8 July 2022 (1048) - Mulleys Motorways MX57 HDH, seen on the approach to the Old Cattle Market Bus Station in Ipswich arriving on service 111 from Hitcham (Cross Green). It is an Optare Solo 920SL (9.2 metres long slimline model) that had been new to to Nightingale Coaches (Johnson) of Greencroft, Annfield Plain, County Durham in September 2007. Following is First Eastern Counties Buses 67775 (SN62 AXO), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300 new to First Midland Bluebird in January 2012, operating the Park & Ride service 800. Happy Bench Monday!

First Eastern Counties Buses 69422 (AU58 FFJ), a Wright Eclipse Urban bodied Volvo B7RLE new in January 2009. Ipswich Reds livery with ‘Felixstowe Flyers’ branding. First Eastern Counties Buses 67775 (SN62 AXO), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300 new to First Midland Bluebird in January 2012, operating the Park & Ride service 800. Park & Ride livery. Mulleys Motorways MX57 HDH, had arrived on service 111 from Hitcham (Cross Green). Friday 8 July 2022 (1051) – Dogs Head Street near the Old Cattle Market Bus Station in Ipswich. Mulleys Motorways MX57 HDH had recently arrived on service 111 from Hitcham (Cross Green) and was now out of service. It is an Optare Solo 920SL (9.2 metres long slimline model) that had been new to to Nightingale Coaches (Johnson) of Greencroft, Annfield Plain, County Durham in September 2007. The rear panel information relates to a town service in Bury St. Edmunds. First Eastern Counties Buses 67775 (SN62 AXO), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300 new to First Midland Bluebird in January 2012, operating the Park & Ride service 800. Park & Ride livery.

Friday 8 July 2022 (1110) – Ipswich Buses 48 (SGZ 3348), a Scania N230UD Omnicity that was new to London United (SP40037) in July 2008 registered YN08 MRY. It was standing in Tower Ramparts bus station between runs on a school swimming contract. The Crown Pools swimming pool centre is across the road from the bus station. Note the destination display which shows both children and a swimmer. For a number of years Ipswich Buses named all of its vehicles but now only a few carry names. This bus is named for the late Roger Fern, twice Mayor of Ipswich who over four decades sought to improve many aspects of life for the town’s residents.

Friday 8 July 2022 (1122) – As part of the 2022 fund raising for St. Elizabeth’s Hospice in Ipswich, a trail of 50 colourful owls has been placed around the town each sponsored by a local business. This one, 'The Hoot Express’, is sponsored by Ipswich Buses and stands in Tower Ramparts bus station. In the background is an Ipswich Buses engineers van, with an engineer waiting for a colleague to re-join him, together with former Trent Barton (trentbarton) Optare Tempo 95 (YJ12 GWM) s setting out on service 13 to Chantry and Copdock.
