Ipswich Buses 48 (SGZ 3348 ex YN08 MRY) in Ipswich - 8 Jul 2022 (P1120398)

Friday 8 July 2022 (1110) – Ipswich Buses 48 (SGZ 3348), a Scania N230UD Omnicity that was new to London United (SP40037) in July 2008 registered YN08 MRY. It was standing in Tower Ramparts bus station between runs on a school swimming contract. The Crown Pools swimming pool centre is across the road from the bus station. Note the destination display which shows both children and a swimmer.

For a number of years Ipswich Buses named all of its vehicles but now only a few carry names. This bus is named for the late Roger Fern, twice Mayor of Ipswich who over four decades sought to improve many aspects of life for the town’s residents.
