Burtons Coaches N540 TPF on the Moulton to Gazeley road - 8 Apr 2008 (DSCN1409)

Tuesday 8 April 2008 (1114 hrs) - Burtons Coaches N540 TPF, an East Lancs EL2000 bodied Dennis Dart SLF that had been new to London & Country in November 1995. It was seen on the road to Gazeley from Moulton, the village school is visible on left in valley.

Unfortunately, due to a dispute by one of the cleaning staff at Haverhill garage the previous evening, this bus did not get fuelled. The driver bringing it out of the garage today took it for granted that it had been fuelled. He handed it over to me and subsequently it ran out of diesel as I operated the 1015 Newmarket-Haverhill service 225. I was awaiting assistance when I took this photograph.
