Vertas (Suffolk CC) YX63 ZXJ in Barrow, Suffolk - 7 Sep 2021 (P1090619)

Tuesday 7 September 2021 (0829) – Perhaps an uninspiring all white double decker but nevertheless it records the passing of Suffolk Norse, a partnership created in 2013 between Suffolk County Council, with a 20% stake, and Norfolk County Council, with an 80% stake. At its formation SCC placed all its school bus fleet into the partnership but from September 2021 the partnership ceased and the fleet passed to Vertas, a facilities support company owned by SCC.

The Suffolk Norse fleetnames and the red, blue and grey flashes once carried beneath the lower deck windows, have been removed although no new lettering has yet been applied.

Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D YX63 ZXJ, new in December 2013, is seen in the village of Barrow when working dedicated school service BE206 to St. Benedict’s School/County Upper School in Bury St. Edmunds.
