Freedom Travel MX06 ADU in Newmarket – 30 Apr 2007 (570-25A)

Monday 30 April 2007 - Commencing Tuesday 10 April 2007 (the day after Easter Monday) Freedom Travel of Ely began operating the Cambridgeshire County Council supported services 46 and 47 previously operated by Burtons Coaches Limited.

Service 46 featured a Monday to Friday 0702 service from Ashley to Newmarket (0839) with an evening return at 1825 from Newmarket to Brinkley (1905) plus a Monday to Saturday shoppers service from Streetly End (departing at 0808 (Sats) or 0830 (Mons to Fris) returning at 1200 (Sats) and 1220 (Mons to Fris)) via slightly different routes depending on the day of the week.

Service 47was a Monday to Friday 0715 from Dullingham to Newmarket (0750) with a 1735 return. For a short time this Plaxton Primo (MX06 ADU), which was seen here in Newmarket, was used by the company but it was not as reliable as the proprietor would have liked so it was returned off lease. The regular driver previously drove for on the same services when they were operated by Burtons.
