Kenzie’s Coaches L57 REW leaving Edinburgh Castle – 2 Aug 1997 (366-7)

Kenzie’s Coaches L57 REW leaving Edinburgh Castle – 2 Aug 1997 (366-7)
Saturday 2 August 1997 – Kenzie’s Coaches of Shepreth L57 REW, a Van Hool Alizée bodied Volvo B10M new in March 1994, seen leaving Edinburgh Castle. It carries the Globus Tours contract livery.

The Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle has been a parade ground since the mid-1700s and is where the famous Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is staged. Seating and equipment relating to the event, held each August, was already in place. The blue edifice is the rear of the control boxes for the television companies etc. the fronts of which overlook the parade ground area.
