Ambassador Travel 113 (G609 MVG) in Newmarket – 8 Jul 1995 (275-29)

Saturday 8 July 1995 (approx. 1115) – ‘Parting is such sweet sorrow…..’ – a young lady embraces her departing boyfriend who was about to board Ambassador Travel 113 (G609 MVG) at the Rookery bus station, Newmarket. (The Rookery was later renamed The Guineas). The coach is a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M new in April 1990 which was working the 0900 Lowestoft to London service 497.

Alongside is Yorkshire Traction 75 (OHE 50) working the 0850 Clacton-on-Sea to Liverpool service 350 which was running about 15 minutes late. A Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Scania K93CRB which I believe was registered J964 YWJ when new.
