Former Fishwiick's A462 LFV at Morecambe - 25 May 2019 (P1020352)

Saturday 25 May 2019 - Stagecoach North West hosted an open day at their Morecambe garage to celebrate 100 years since the formation of Ribble Motor Services. Stagecoach acquired Ribble in May 1989.

A462 LFV is an Eastern Coachworks bodied Leyland Atlantean AN69/2L placed in service with John Fishwick and Sons of Leyland, Lancashire in January 1984.

Initially the chassis was left hand drive intended for demonstration to overseas buyers by British Leyland. It was converted to right hand drive and bodied with the style of body employed on the Leyland Olympian models. Over the years Fishwick’s, being based close to the Leyland manufacturing plants in the Lancashire town of Leyland, was the recipient of quite a number of out of the ordinary hybrid models that had been demonstrators or testbeds etc.
