Paul Burton Coaches F107 NRT – 1 Jun 1989

Thursday 1 June 1989 – Paul Burton Coaches was based in Bury St. Edmunds and ran about 15 coaches at its peak. In early 1988 Burton was successful in gaining the United States Air Force contract for the shuttles from the USAF occupied air bases at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Mildenhall to Heathrow Airport. Two new Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied Volvo B10M coaches were added to the fleet for the work. F107 NRT, seen here on the approach to RAF Mildenhall, was branded ‘Sovereign’. The other vehicle (F108 NRT) was branded ‘Imperial’.
