Cambus 924 (E44 RDW) at Cambridge garage - 17 Sep 1989

Cambus 924 (E44 RDW) at Cambridge garage - 17 Sep 1989
Sunday 17 September 1989 – Cambus Limited 924 (E44 RDW) on display at the Cambridge garage open day. It was an Optare City Pacer bodied Volkswagen LT55 mini-bus new in September 1987 to Taff-Ely Transport, Pontypridd, South Wales. Taff-Ely was the former council run bus company that had its origins as Pontypridd Urban District Council. It became a casualty of deregulation and ceased operations in September 1988 resulting in Cambus picking up a number of young secondhand models from that fleet.

The vehicle is lettered for the ‘City Rail Link’ service which operated from Cambridge city centre to the Railway Station which is about a one mile journey.
