Sovereign 608 (R608 CNM) in Welwyn Garden City - 9 Apr 1998

Maundy Thursday 9 April 1998 (1708) - In January 1990 Sovereign Bus and Coach Company Limited acquired Welwyn Hatfield Line, a competing operation. The name was retained for a number of years with vehicles operating in a red based variant of the blue and cream used in the main Sovereign fleet. 608 (R608 CNM), a Wright Crusader bodied Volvo B6LE new in March 1998, was seen in Welwyn Garden City bus station. The Mercedes-Benz buses behind carry the blue and cream Sovereign and the red and cream Welwyn Hatfield Line liveries.
