Friday 30 June 1995 (approx 1345) - East Kent Road Car Company (Stagecoach owned) 255 (K715 ASC) had just emerged from beneath the arch of Westgate Tower in Canterbury. Generations of medieval pilgrims passed under the arch on their way to the shrine of Thomas a Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. Service buses no longer take this route when heading into the city centre. Outward bound buses use the road alongside the tower which does not involve passing beneath the monument. The bus is an Alexander RL bodied Volvo Olympian which was new to Fife Scottish in September 1992,
