Quand l'architecture ancienne héberge l'art moderne
WHEN ANCIENT ARCHITECTURE HOSTS MODERN ART. The priory of Saint-Hippolyte is a former Benedictine monastery, founded in the 11th century. It was sold as national property during the French Revolution in 1791, then some of the buildings were demolished, while the rest were used for agricultural purposes until the mid-20th century. Over the years, it has been restored and now houses a contemporary art centre.
