The Bee and the Ladybird (2 x PiPs)

The Bee and the Ladybird (2 x PiPs)
The Bee is on cow parsley and the ladybird is about to have a meal of (I think) aphids.

An excellent diptych with detailed PiPs, Doug!
I too onced used exactly the same shade of green to frame my old wildlife shots. Of course, I therefore think it's a great choice!

The ladybird is doing a great job Doug. I also like the detail captured in the bee shot, of the cow parsley and the insect. Together they made a great collage, which is also nicely framed.

Sunday greetings,
Rosa.

Doug, What two super shots !!! the pips even better. great focus and composition. But Doug, arn't these little things called Ladybugs, not LadyBIRDS.? just curious about these being birds or bugs.? I think you British call these the BIRDS, here they are Ladybugs, help me out here:) Best wishes, have a good week again. Sarah

Doug Shepherd club has replied to Sarah O' club
Thanks very much for your visit and kind comment Sarah. Apparently the Ladybird/Ladybug is a beetle, called; surprise, surprise, the Ladybeetle! In one way you Americans are more accurate calling it the Ladybug, it is after all a 'BUG', hardly a bird! I will continue to call them Ladybirds. Having do so for seventy plus years I have no wish to confuse myself now;-))

Hope things are going well for you, Doug
