Einer frisst, einer wacht - One eats, one watches
Mittlerweile tauchen bei uns Nilgänse (Alopochen aegyptiaca) nicht nur an Flüssen wie dem Main auf, sondern auch an Kleingewässern, wie dieses Paar zeigt. Beide Geschlechter sind sich sehr ähnlich. Sie gilt als eine mit menschlicher Hilfe angesiedelte Art (Neozoon). 2017 setzte die EU die Nilgans auf die rechtsverbindliche Liste invasiver gebietsfremder Arten von unionsweiter Bedeutung. Die Verordnung gilt unmittelbar in allen Mitgliedstaaten. Die negative Auswirkung der Nilgans auf Ökosysteme scheint aber nicht einwandfrei bewiesen zu sein (siehe nabu-Internetartikel).

It is considered a species that has been colonised with human help (neozoon). In 2017, the EU placed the Egyptian goose on the legally binding list of invasive alien species of Union concern. The regulation applies directly in all member states. However, the negative impact of the Egyptian goose on ecosystems does not appear to be fully proven (see nabu website article).
