Die Zeit der Bläulinge ist fast schon wieder vorbei - The time of the blues is almost over again

The time when the little colourful blue butterflies flutter across the meadows is almost over again.Only a few stragglers can be found in the meadows at the moment. Depending on the species, blues overwinter either as an egg or as a caterpillar.
In the picture a brown argus (Aricia agestis) on an common agrimony stem, for me one of the most beautiful of the blue family, which in Germany comprises 48 species, some of which are very difficult to identify. Only with good photos of the upper and lower side most species can be clearly identified, often special examinations are necessary.
