Evening mood in the natur park Lechtal nearby Stanzach/Tirol
Over 20 years ago the Lech was seriously threatened by the planned construction of power plants in its naturalness. In a vulerable state was mainly the Streimbach flowing at Elmen into the Lech. Two huge dam walls should have turned him off the water.
The planned Streimbach power plant began to cleave the Lechtal population in the 1990s. Even within families were supporters and opponents. After the power station Reutte promised payments to financially weak municipalities, there was civic ballot. In 1996 voted Pfafflar. The end result reflected the general mood - undecided. Then in the municipality of Elmen the electric company Reutte promised each household 10,000 Schilling, if all agree. This tactical errors led to the cancellation of the idea of power plant construction in the Lech valley. Subsequently, the upper valley of the Lech was designated as a nature park.

cammino club has replied to Heidiho clubBei Stanzach geht es seitlich ins Hornbachtal.
