Der 70 Meter hohe Brandywine Fall im gleichnamigen Provincial Park.
Basaltische Lavaströme aus dem späten Pleistozän bilden die vertikalen Wände rund um den Brandywine Fall. Diese Basalte sind Teil des Garibaldi-Vulkangürtels (eine Vulkankette im Südwesten von British Columbia).
Wie der Wasserfall zu seinem Namen kam ist nicht sicher.
● Die eine Version besagt, dass zwei Vermesser (Jack Nelson und Bob Mollison) um eine Flasche Brandy wetteten, wer die Höhe des Falls genauer schätzt. Der Gewinner (Bob Mollison) erhielt eine Flasche Brandywein und durfte den Wasserfällen einen Namen geben.
● Eine andere Erklärung stammt aus den 1890er Jahren, als Charles Chandler und George Mitchell dort ohnmächtig wurden, nachdem sie zu viel Brandywein in ihrem Tee getrunken hatten.

concerns due to unstable slopes and falling rock. Public visitors should not be travelling off of designated and approved trails and viewpoints. Please help us protect the sensitive ecosystem and stay out of the canyon.

Die Bussen sind hier schnell 'mal bei 25.000 CAD = ca. 17.000 € wenn man sich nicht an die Regeln hält.
