Die Streckenlänge einer Führung beträgt ca. 3,5 km und dauert etwa 2 bis 3 Stunden. Dabei muß man ca. 800 Stufen bewältigen, die aller-, allermeisten abwärts. Es ging immer nur hinunter. Und bei jeder Stufe machte ich mir immer mehr Gedanken: "Wenn Du da wieder hoch mußt!" Der Bergwerksführer witzelte schon: "Es gibt einen Fahrstuhl. Also gestern war der noch funktionstüchtig!"

Da hatten wir ja Glück, dass wir runter und rauf mit dem Fahrstuhl fahren konnten.

Über die Möglichkeit, dass man nach dem Einfahren hochsteigen muss, habe ich mir nie Gedanken gemacht, auch 1000 m unter der Erde nicht, kenne auch solche Fälle nicht, außer von Erzählungen aus früheren Zeiten.

I have never been down a salt mine, or any other mine0 but I have climbed down a lot of steps to see a lighthouse. All the way down I thought of the climb back up so I know how you felt.
