Abandoned roundhouse and turntable, Germany

In 1842 the first boiler house was built, 1857 several workshops followed, 1865 the first and 1875 the second roundhouse, finally 1895 a third one. The latter is the only one, which can still be seen, in a very bad condition. Abandoned since 2001.

Toll sieht das aus! Nicht weit weg von Karlsruhe gab's mal ein sehr interessantes, leider war ich zu spät, damals war schon fast alles weg. Das geht hier meistens sehr schnell, die stehen nicht lange verlassen in der gegend rum :-(

This image is really beautiful..........and a has a cathedral-like look to it. A fantastic capture Berny!

I noticed above that this artwork was called vandalism. In my opinion the real vandals are the ones who leave all these building to deteriorate and pollute the environment. Surely some could be refurbished before they reach this stage and be converted into accommodation, which is sorely needed all over the world. I don't want to get into an argument............just saying!
