Ha...this is the north ridge, difficulty about III-IV, about 4 to 5 hours to the summit, a very rewarding climbing in granite!

Dann wünsch ich Dir bestes Wetter, Neid kommt auf (ein bisschen). Das war immer meine Lieblingsgegend, hab es aber nie ganz rauf geschafft. Im Frühjahr mit Figln wegen Vereisung gescheitert und einmal wegen schweren Gewitters....

Tja, das kenn ich. Einen Besteigungsversuch des Wagendrischelhorns - mit nur 2.251 Metern 450 m niedriger als das Waldhorn - mussten wir im Juni 2014 wegen gefährlicher Altschneefelder abbrechen. Wir verbuchen solche Touren (ohne Gipfelerlebnis) als Training und Erkundung fürs nächste Mal. Die Saison für Gipfeltouren in den Alpen ist halt kurz.

lonesome but warm? it is wonderful to see here, but i think i would only want to go with a whole big group of people. the mountain has so much energy to it with all the rivulets showing on its side. did you make it to the lake? really nice image.

Yes it's better in a group, but not too much people, otherwise this beautiful remote ambience is destroyed ;-) And yes, i've been at this lake, but not during this tour.
