Fruit press of an allotment gardeners' cooperative in the Tyrolean Lowlands (Austria). The members process the fruit of their old apple trees into apple juice. Last year 210 tons of apples were processed into delicious organic apple juice. Photo: The apples of my parents-in-law.

Obstpresse einer Kleingärtner-Genossenschaft im Tiroler Unterland (Österreich). Die Mitglieder verabeiten dort das Obst ihrer alten Apfelbäume zu Apfelsaft. In dem Einfüllbehälter werden die Äpfel gewaschen. Dann werden sie in dem dicken senkrechten Rohr hochgeschraubt, wobei von oben Klarspülwasser entgegen rieselt. Oben im Kopf des Turm ist ein Häcksler, weiter hinten ist die Presse. Der Saft, der recht herausfließt, wird gesiebt, gefiltert, pasteurisiert und heiß in 5l-Beutel verpackt. Jeder bekommt den Saft seiner eigenen Äpfel.

selbstverständlich mit zwei ausgewiesenen Saft-Experten an der Anlage. Das wird gut!
