Hopes And Dreams ...
For this week's Sunday Challenge for which the theme was the future.
Every week millions of Brits play the national lottery hoping, dreaming even, that it might indeed be them that hits the jackpot.
I must admit to occasionally succumbing myself and buying a ticket be it for the Lotto or the Euro Millions. However, I have so little faith in the likelihood of me winning that I usually end up with umpteen tickets going back several weeks, if not months, lying around waiting to be checked.
I know money can't buy you happiness, but it sure can bring security and peace of mind, which is something anyone who has to rent their property never really has in their life.
That's why if my numbers ever do come up then I'd be happy just winning enough to be able to stop renting. That and maybe having enough left over to be financially secure into old age is all I'd want ... the rest I'd happily give away. I mean, how many millions does one person really need?
My resolve though is unlikely to be tested any time soon as, you've guessed it, there wasn't a single winning line in any of these!
