Something Wicked Comes ...
The force of the unexpected blast threw me some considerable distance and I landed on my back with a sickening crunch followed by almost unbearable pain.
Then as I gathered my senses and looked upwards at the cobbled ceiling of the tunnel I saw a large shadow, with arms outstretched, looming overhead. It was then that I realised I wasn't alone in the darkness and that the shadow was not only moving, but it was moving towards me towards me and at great speed!
Believe it or not this began as a shadow shot I took of myself in a gravelled car park and all with this week's Sunday Challenge in mind.
However, I decided not to use it for the challenge and instead had some fun processing it. I used the mirroring technique on PicMonkey to turn my single handed shadow into a more menacing one with both arms outstretched.
Then I worked on the gravel stone to create a more interesting pattern before adding a centred ripple effect to give the sense of a curved ceiling above me.
The original shot can be found in the Notes.
Happy Halloween!
