On the Lake Agnes Trail at Mirror Lake I met this Streller's Jay
The Steller's jay one, smart , sociable and good looking black and blue jay.
Steller's jays are found in many areas of western North and Central America, from Alaska to Nicaragua. they are often encountered in campgrounds, picnic areas and gardens .
The Steller's is a casual bird that will eat anything left behind by humans, insects, berries, nuts, bird eggs and even small animals . They hide food to retrieve later when winter approaches.
