Pelicans in the morning

I like the layers as the scene unfolds from the pelicans in the foreground, and I like the light you've captured before the sun rose high. The texture and reflections add interest; so also do the graduations of purple in the hills in the distance. The water is like a triangle: I like geometry and symmetry in pictures. And I like the limited colour palette of blues and browns. But it's those foraging birds that elevate your photograph to a higher level than pure landscape.
