Indonesia, Bali, Gunung Batur Volcano (1717 m)
Gunung Batur is an active volcano located at the center of two concentric calderas north west of Mount Agung on the island of Bali, Indonesia. The south east side of the larger 10×13 km caldera contains a caldera lake. The top of the main cone, consisting of 3 craters, rises to a height of 1717 meters above sea level.
The first documented eruption of Batur occurred in 1804, and the last serious ash eruption took place quite recently in 2000.
