EsMj043 Mythimna ferrago (Clay)
Noctuidae, Hadeninae - Wingspan: 40mm.
A single faded specimen of this fairly common moth came to our trap on the fourth night. Probably the easiest way to identify this species is to check the under-body for a black band of fur where the abdomen joins the meta-thorax. This only occurs in the male, but females are rarely attracted to light.
