Sphingidae Smerinthinae Final Length: ~80mm.

This species caterpillar has a distinct bluish tinge to its green colour, with generally white side stripes. Younger caterpillars have very pointed heads.

Hi Jenny. From what I've seen of some of your pictures, you also have been getting some super Hawkmoth caterpillars in your garden, so you may have just a super moths as well. There is no doubt that caterpillars from the Sphingidae family are nearly always very impressive and big. They are ideal for photographing and make good records as well.
