C040 Idaea rubraria (Least Riband Wave)

Wingspan: 30mm. A Mediterranean species not seen in the UK. One female arrived at the light trap at the end of our stay at the hotel, and whilst waiting overnight to be photographed in a collecting pot, laid about 16 eggs (some visible in this picture). These subsequently hatched and one of the caterpillars is shown near full grown in the next picture.
