In winter Bragança can be very cold (unlike this shot, taken in autumn). Once, the river was frozen enough to allow a guy driving his tractor on its surface, just for fun...

No joke: that winter, temperatures persisted between -15 and -19º a few days. The tractor rolling on the river even appeared on TV news.
