When Perfect Rows Blend to Become a Sea of Death

When Perfect Rows Blend to Become a Sea of Death
My American Friends recognize Memorial Day today. I made this photo in April of this year at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. When one moves ones perspective slightly away from the the perfect rows we become familiar with at these memorials, the scene becomes a sea of white.

Gudrun, Nouchetdu38, William Sutherland, Jean and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

We talk about lives lost but often we don't think what it really means. These are all lives that were never lived. I have never understood why killing each other is a way of solving our disagreements.

Magnificent. Wonderful the way you've slightly changed the perspective and produced something so different from the way we normally see such things. That alteration is very important both aesthetically and philosophically.
